We have done a lot of fishing this past month with even more to come. You can read more about them elsewhere in this newsletter. But this month I would like to write about some things that have made your club so successful.
The first involves the decision by your Anglers’ Club Board to embrace the entire Ballantrae community. The Board has made an effort now to offer each homeowner and their spouse, an opportunity to be an active member in the Anglers’ Club. That change has been well received and has enhanced and supported many activities that we do as a Club. I have heard that our Anglers’ Club is a fishing club. But I have also heard that we are a social/diner’s club. Well, you bet “it is” and ”we are”…and great ones at that!
Secondly, we owe our success to the Anglers’ Club Board and the various committees that do the work of our Club. We now have five times the amount of Anglers’ Club members that we had when I took the helm. However, we have only two times as many committee members. Those committees that are working for you and the club include some of the hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It is now time for more of you to offer some help to your club. We don’t want to burn out the great people we have now. By offering your help, our jobs will become much easier tasks for all.
Below are the committees chair-persons please call and offer your help.
