Here we are in our slowest social part of our Club’s season.  Except for June 13, the dinners are done.  The golf club has started their summer slow-down.  But on the other hand, it is the start of our busiest fishing season.  With the weather changes, the seas will be calm for the most part and the fishing good.  There will be several trips to the Bahamas and Keys, as well as local outings on the river and Ocean.  July will feature the Martin County Reef Outing.

That being said, we owe a lot to our committees that put these trips together.  Over the years these trips have become more successful, better organized, and, with a lot of hard work, a lot less expensive!  Even with the fuel prices where they are, the work that has been done with lodging, trip length, food, days spent and so on, our savings per angler is around $200 LESS than three years ago.  Our local trips to the outside are $20 less than three years ago.  Thank you to our committees.

Our next trip will be to the Bahamas this month.  The invite has already gone out.  If you missed it, look for a follow up.  This is another great trip.  And of course a lot of local fishing is happening.  Just look for and e-mail invites.

Thanks and good fishing,

Captain Hal
