Hello fellow Anglers’ Club members. This is the first Anglers’ Club Newsletter of our 2008-09 season (Thanks again, George!).  And as we have noted in our e-mails and Newsletters, what a season it’s going to be!

 

I am looking forward to our kick-off Members’ Dinner Party on November 12^th.  This event will include our awards presentation plus a great steak dinner (see article elsewhere in this Newsletter and SIGN UP NOW!).

 

We have worked hard to make programs that will benefit all members throughout the year.  According to our research, we find that about 60% of our membership is social only, while 40% is comprised of anglers and captains.  That works out very nicely as both groups play a large part in the success of our club.

 

Our social members, like Joyce Simpson, Betty Jumper, and Holy Worth, along with their crews, do the dinners and set ups, which are no easy tasks. On the other hand, our anglers and captains often take people fishing and share their catch with our neighbors and other members.  And let’s not forget that all Club members participate in our 50-50, auctions, and other activities to raise funds for bettering our club.

 

I look forward to seeing you at the dinner and some of our events this year.
