Dinner Sign-up Deadline Quickly Approaches
Only a few days left until April 4 – the deadline for signing up for our Anglers’ Club Annual Free Spring Dinner Party & Auction. Not only is this our best party and most delicious dinner of the year, but the auction serves as a great fund raising event for the Club. So call and sign up now!
We have also decided that this would be a good event to introduce non-Anglers’ Club members who live in Ballantrae to some of the benefits of our Club. As such, we are encouraging our Club members to invite a neighbor in the community to come along to dinner and participate in the auction as well. Of course we hope our neighbors will enjoy themselves well enough to consider joining our Club in the future. Guests must be Ballantrae residents!
The Dinner/Auction is scheduled as follows:
Day: Monday Date: April 14 Place: Santa Lucia River Club Cocktails: Cash Bar 5-6 PM Dinner: 6:00 PM Auction: 7:00 PM Approx.
This year’s dinner will follow a seafood theme similar to last year. Each member will supply either a seafood entrée, side dish, salad, appetizer, or dessert. This will allow each of us to sample several “gourmet” selections as well as a variety of side offerings. Your contribution is your choice when you call Joyce to sign up on a first come basis. Each dish should serve about 10 people. We will have a way to keep food warm – just make sure it is there by at least 5:45 PM.
Immediately following dinner is our auction to benefit our Anglers’ Club and its activities. Included this year will be not only marine/fishing items, but items of general interest as well. So there’s something for everyone. We would ask that each member bring something for the auction, but it is not mandatory. This should be fun for all and produce some great buys!
